The tldr is that Tadka is excellent...and this comes from an Indian dude. The folks there are super nice as well. We ordered the karahi chicken, lamb biriyani, tandoori chicken and garlic naan. Every bite was better than the previous one. I HIGHLY recommend Tadka, and I so look forward to trying the other items on the rather diverse menu. Thankfully for me, I'm just a block away. Another fantastic meal. Velvety Tikka Masala with lots of chicken. Succulent Tikka Kebab. Spicy mixed vegetables and Palak Paneer to round out the experience. The supporting players (garlic naan, rice & raita; veggie pakora appetizer) all scrumptious as well. The first time we ordered from here I thought it might be the best Indian food I’ve had in San Francisco. Now I can say it with confidence. It IS the best we’ve had! Thanks again for the Kheer!

I love getting the peshwari naan with a chai tea for a not-too-sweet snack. The peshwari naan is filled with a sort of frangipane, gently sweet, nutty, and spiced. The top layer is brushed with ghee and the body is crispy on the bottom then soft and chewy throughout. Their chai tea is excellent and pairs perfectly with it. And they are open until 2am!
